Elchanan Schulgasser grew up in Monsey, New York where he attended Bais Shraga High School. Afterwards, he attended Rabbi Yochanan Zweig's Yeshiva in Miami Beach for 10 years, where he earned his semicha. 

In Florida, Elchanan was a classroom teacher, Financial Administrator, and Executive Assistant for several years as well. He is completing his second year as a founding member of the Community Kollel of Kansas City.

Elchanan reads voraciously and and takes a keen interest in almost everything, especially economics, exercise and fitness, and public speaking. He and his wife Bracha, a social worker, are the devoted parents of Shalom Dovid, Aliza and Benayahu.
